Scioto Downs qualifiers on RTN

Eldorado Scioto Downs will once again have harness racing qualifiers available on RTN through streaming services, such as Roku, Amazon FireStick and online at www.rtn.tv.

The first qualifying card of the 2024 season is on Friday (May 3) with 10 qualifiers going postward at noon.

“We’ve gotten great feedback over the last three years from owners and horsemen that they love getting to watch their horses qualify when they can’t be live on the grounds,” said Jason Roth, Scioto’s Director of Racing. “Showing them live then also allows for the replays to be available on our website the day after.”

The next scheduled day of qualifiers will be on Tuesday, May 7, also with a first post of noon. Qualifiers will then continue to be held on Tuesdays with a typical first post of 3:45 p.m. before the evening’s races. To accommodate the 2-year-olds getting ready for the summer season, qualifiers will move to noon on Mondays June 10 – July 15.

The 90-day 2024 Eldorado Scioto Downs race meet will open on Thursday, May 9 and conclude on Saturday, September 14. Races will be held Tuesday-Saturday with special holiday cards on Memorial Day and Labor Day taking place instead of the Tuesday card that week.

First post is at 5:45 p.m. each day except for Thursday, July 4th with a post of 3:15 p.m. and Friday, September 13 which will have a 6:15 p.m. post to help accommodate horsemen attending the Ohio Selected Yearling Sale. More information about racing at Scioto can be found here.
