A big weekend of harness racing at Century Downs kicks off Friday (May 10) with an 11-dash program. As usual, the Pick 5 wager starts in the first race and runs to the fifth. The $1 minimum Pick 4 begins in the eighth and ends in the eleventh.

A free program can be found here.

A pair of Alberta Sire Stake Final runners-up make their 2024 debut on Friday

The now three-year-old filly, Outlawguns N Roses (Captive Audience) makes her debut in the fourth race. She draws the rail and will have Logan Gillis in the bike. She finished second in last year’s Super Finals just behind Byby Baby Byby. Her last win came in the Brad Gunn and she paced the winning mile in 1:54. The Rodney Starkewski trained pace won four of her nine starts and finished in the top two seven times. Her lifetime mark stands at 1:53.2 which was achieved at Century Mile.

OUTLAWGUNS N ROSES REPLAY

The other Super Final silver medalist making their 2024 debut is Grey Horizon (Vertical Horizon). The colt was the betting favourite but fell short to Come On Santanna. His last win came in the ABSS Lone Star and he won by putting up a personal best 1:55.2. The Brandon Campbell-trained pacer won five of his eight starts and has yet to finish worse than second place. Campbell is usually the one in the bike but Michael Hennessy will take over on Friday.
