CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Twin B Tuffenuff (Rock N Roll Heaven) is back in town for the Saturday evening (May 11) harness racing feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The capital oval has a 13-dash presentation set for 6 P.M., on Saturday with the $3,600 Preferred Pace headlining the program in race 12.
Twin B Tuffenuff has post 5 in that event as he is back on P.E.I. after racing the winter season in New York for trainer John (Bo) Hallett. Twin B Tuffenuff was a four-time winner during his U.S stint including a 1:54.2 victory over the half-mile oval at Batavia Downs on Jan. 4 in line to Jim Morrill Jr.
Owner Pat Morris has placed the horse back in the Ron Matheson stable for the 2024 Summer Meet as the horse is also standing stud at Woodmere Farms for his inaugural season. Regular driver Gilles Barrieau will sit behind the $704,380 winner in Saturday evening’s top class as the 5-2 morning line favourite.
Spectrum Seelster will take him on from post 4 with David Dowling driving for trainer Jennifer Doyle. The former Gold Cup and Saucer trial entrant was impressive in his debut winning in 1:56.2 on May 4.
Impeccable Shadow (To be driven by Adam Merner) will kick off his four-year-old campaign with rail control for trainer Melissa Rennie after finishing second to Spectrum Seelster last week.
Mantario (Damian MacLellan) also hails from the Doyle stable and has post 2 while another member of the stallion ranks, Blood Money (Marc Campbell), has post 3 from the Matheson barn.
The Post Time Picks have no doubt that Twin B Tuffenuff is the one to beat.
“Twin B Tuffenuff is back home after a successful winter meet at Saratoga. He’s the class of this field and looked great in that qualifier. Top call.”
