CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – With a crushing brush to the lead, Tobins Brownie (Stonebridge Terror) carved her way to the winner’s circle in the Thursday evening featured pace on a night full of similarly bred winners at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
David Dowling doubled up on the evening as a trainer-driver with Tobins Brownie delivering his second win in the $3,700 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace. Rosetown Mary was second ahead of Share The Moment (Gilles Barrieau).
Dowling prevailed earlier on the card as another Stonebridge Terror pupil, Elm Grove Redwine, took a pocket ride to victory in 1:58.3 in race 4. The four-year-old mare track down pacesetter and favourite High Roller (Adam Merner) in the $2,750 event then fending off a closing Redland Peaches (Mike McGuigan).
