Late charge works for P L Princess

A late charge by P L Princess C (Thinking Out Loud) and harness racing driver Aaron Byron worked in capturing the $9,000 fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (May 17).

Lets Ryde Girl (Braxten Boyd) led to the quarter in :27.0.  She slowed things down using a :30.1 second quarter breather to be first to the half in :57.1.  She was still in command getting to three-quarters first in 1:24.3.

As they made the turn for home P L Princess C ($9.30) came flying down the stretch like her tail was on fire and blew right on by to win in 1:53.1.  Amini (Mike Merton) finished second. Rosey Time (Jim Pantaleano) was third.

P L Princess C is a 5-year-old mare trained by Paul Long for owners Charlene and Jeff Long.  It was her third win this season.  She now owns 13 career victories.
