Django Hill Takes Prix des Viselets

Django Hill (5m Muscle Hill-Demi Kievitshof-Love You) rolled past rivals nearing the line to win the Prix des Viselets (purse 41,000€, 2100 meters autostart, five-year olds 15 European starters) at Paris-Vincennes on Friday (May 17) clocked in 1.11.7kr off quick fractions.

William Nimczyk teamed this Karin Walter-Mommert owned trotteur that Wolfgang Nimczyk trains and was off at 5/1 odds. This is his first win in FR in his first start and he now has earned 62,780€ for his career. De Gaulle Grif (5m Love You-Ryder Cup-Varenne) was second at 2.3/1 for driver Gaby Gelormini. Presto Dan was third at 64/1 with Kristof Depuydt at the lines.

In the featured Prix de Nogent (purse 68,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 16 European starters) the 31/1 odds outsider Favori de L’Iton (9g Jasmin de Flore-Noore de L’Iton_ scored in 1.10.5kr with P-Y Verva driving for trainer P.L. Becavnette.

The winner recorded his 17^th career victory in 72 outings for 323,430€ earned.

The 41/1 odds Fee Lucernaise (9f Quickly Paris) was second with Eric Raffin aboard with 5.2/1 Ibiscus Man (6g Booster Winner) home third for trainer/driver Romain Charles Larue.

The next Gr. III GNT (Grand Natonal du Trot) leg is set for May 22 at Hipporome Croise Laroche. This traveling circuit always attracts good crowds at each stop. The final will be in late Fall at Vincennes. The next Trophee Vert leg will be June 9 at Hippodrome du Touquet.

Gaspar de Brion (Singalo) was named to the ’24 Elitloppet and is the fifth trotteur from FR to be named to this classic, the others are Hohneck, Idao de Tillard, Go On Boy and Horsy Dream. Gaspar has 16 career wins in 52 starts for 632,120€ earned. He was second in the recent Prix des Ducs du Normandie at Caen with an exceptional effort. Matthieu Abriavrd trains and owns this campaigner.
