Harness News Update: Picks and analysis for Oak Grove May 20

Oak Grove kicks off the week with a 13-dash harness race card on Monday (May 20). The card features two Pick 5 wagers with the first starting in race one and the late wager starting in the sixth. There is also a $1,252.53 Pick 4 carryover starting in the second race.

A pair of $36,000 Open Paces headline the day starting with boys in the fourth. Robert Again (Tellitlikeitis) will be looking forward to winning his third race of the year and his first Open. The six-year-old gelding’s last win was on Apr. 29, and he paced the mile in a speedy 1:50.2. Robert Again opens as the morning line favourite but will be in tough against the other eight pacers. Greg Powell trains the gelding and Lewayne Miller will be in the sulky.

ROBERT AGAIN REPLAY 

The top-pacing girls have their chance at $36,000 in the seventh race. Sweet Charlie (Sweet Lou) is coming off a couple of wins at Hoosier Park. The five-year-old mare already has four wins this year and her last was in 1:49.4. She will face off against five other top-tier pacing mares in her quest for her 13th career win. Atlee Bender will be in the bike for trainer, Jeff Cullipher.
