The Great Reset (Resolve) trotted the fastest mile in the history of The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Tuesday (May 21) in the conditioned feature.
Jason Ryan put him on the lead going toward the first turn, but Marvin Hagler (Brett MacDonald) pulled the pocket to take over at the quarter in :27.3. The Great Reset sat the pocket as the new leader trotted middle splits of :57.3 and 1:26.4.
Marvin Hagler led into the stretch but came to blows with The Great Reset as the latter swung to the outside. The pacesetter offered a strong fight, but The Great Reset pulled ahead late to win by three-quarters-of-a-length in 1:55.3, breaking the trackās all-age record.
Marvin Hagler finished second, two-and-a-half lengths ahead of Takeapeek At Me (Garrett Rooney).
The previous record, a fifth-of-a-second slower, was set by Duly Resolved in 2022.
