The ABSS Marksman Final for three-year-old Alberta-sired harness racing colts & geldings is set for Saturday (June 1) at Century Downs. A field of nine will battle over the $54,800 in prize money in the 11th race of the card.

The full field is as follows:

  1. One More Rocky – Logan Gillis (15-1)
  2. Lite Of The Dragon – David Kelly (12-2)
  3. Tzilacatzin – Christopher Brown (10-1)
  4. One Hot Minute – Brandon Campbell (5-2)
  5. Rum N Custard – Kelly Hoerdt (4-1)
  6. Come On Santana – Phillip Giesbrecht (2-1)
  7. Rememberthecustard – Michael Hennessy (10-1)
  8. Matteuse – Nathan Sobey (6-1)
  9. Yyc On The Horizon – Jamie Gray (8-1)
  10. Nevada Dragon

Come On Santana (Santanna Blue Chip) had a remarkable rookie campaign with six wins in nine starts and he never finished outside the top-three. He closed out the year with a win in the ABSS Super Final for two-year-old boys. Come On Santana kicked off the new year with a big win in the elimination where he paced the mile in 1:55.1. Jamie Grey trains the gelding and Phil Giesbrecht will be in the bike.

COME ON SANTANA REPLAY

One Hot Minute won the rerunning of the first elimination that took place last week. He won wire-to-wire in 1:56 and it was also his first career win. Up until then he only had finished as high as second place on two occasions. The Brandon Campbell-trained pacer seems to have had a glow up over the winter but will have to perform to earn his 5-2 morning line odds. Campbell will be back in the sulky with One Hot Minute on Saturday.

 ONE HOT MINUTE REPLAY

My Picks

Come On Santana (6) – One Hot Minute (4) – Rum N Custard (5) – Tzilacatzin (3)

A free program for the entire card can be found here.

The first race kicks off at 2:45 p.m. EST.
