With Jack Trainor facing a possible stint on the sidelines over two swab irregularities, he and Canadian-based owner Mike Tanev opted for the stable change.

Aardie’s Express has joined Grimson’s stable ahead of her return from a freshen-up at Menangle on Saturday night.

“Jack worked it all out. He’s done a fantastic job with the mare and I let him decide things,” Tanev said.

“It’s exciting to have her back racing and with her history of injuries, we just enjoy every run as it comes.”

Aardie’s Express won her first two runs for Trainor in NSW, including a phenomenal victory in Australia’s biggest mares race, the $200,000 Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Mile at Menangle on May 4.

“That was some sort of win and Jack (Trainor) felt she deserved some time off after it, but she’s back this week and will run again the week after, all going well.

“Then she’ll go to Brisbane with Jason’s team where the Golden Girl (July 20) will be the main target.”

The Group 1 Golden Girl will likely see a return bout between Australia’s champion mare Ladies In Red, who led and was rundown in the Queen Elizabeth, and Aardie’s Express.

Aardie’s Express should be too classy for her rivals again on Saturday night, of which two of the five against her are now stablemates with Grimson in Illavabubbles and Tay Tay.
