Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 12:08pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Bet:  R1  Eternal Dream

Best Value:  R6   Night Watch

Race 1

Eternal Dream (6) Getting better with racing and this looks winnable. Top chance in this
Dragon Power (5) Not going as well as his trials form but weaker field here. Could surprise
Aretha (1) In good form at trials and might be the leader in the race. Good winning chance

Race 2

Strike It Lucky (5) Better for the last start run and can run top three with improvement. Needed
Burning Love  (8) Good run last start and one of the better chances. Has to be included here
Rewiri Hill (1) Manners will be the key here. Winning claims if he steps away cleanly. 

Race 3

Hit The Lights (3) Gate speed and a good run last start. Might try for an all the way win
Haley Robyn (2) Getting better with racing. Good draw. Can run top again three in this
Franco Huntington (4) Older now but still some speed in the legs. Top three claims

Race 4

Jazzy Styx (6) Improving form and a good late finish last start. Can go one better with luck
Robyns Hustler (7) Has ability and ok after breaking last start. Good enough to go close here
Santanna Mach (10) Not much luck last start but draw suits and should be thereabouts here.

Race 5

Franco Hoffman (1) Looks well placed to go close in this. Draw suits and drop in class also
Magnetic Beckers (9) Getting fitter with racing. Could surprise at nice odds with the right trip
Durrant (2) Looks well suited here after racing well in similar fields. Top three chance again

Race 6

Night Watch (8) Drawn badly but good beginner. Should give a sight at nice odds. Include
Joy Jaccka (2) Racing well and another placing looks on the cards. One of the main players
Blithe (4) Conditions suit here and a quick beginning will see her a good top three chance

Race 7

Rollon Summer (8) Has ability and new trainer. Tricky draw but a big watch on this one
Terra Sancta (9) Fence draw for this could work against. Will be running on with any gaps
Ward Lamon (3) In good form and a good beginner. Strong field but has winning claims.

Race 8

South Seas Rock (8) Broke last start but back to mobile here. Hard to beat if he goes forward
Brookies Player (7) Was good last start but up in grade. Can win with a nice run in transit
Beach Day (9) Up in grade but can run time. Will need all favours here but could surprise

Race 9

Miki Cohen (5) Has been good at trials and looks a chance to win on debut. Include here
Havarti Arden (12) Getting better with racing. Bad draw but can make her own luck. Needed
Scott (8) Wide draw but good second last start. Can improve further and run top three again
