On North American harness racing tracks it’s all about speed over a mile trip, in Australia it’s a mix of both standing start and mobile features across a range of track sizes, in New Zealand it could be about an extreme two-mile contest or a grass track race featuring non-race winners and in Europe the champion trotter is celebrated as a king of the track.

USA REPLAY
Steven Wolf reported on the Yonkers $39,000 Invitational Trot on Thursday with Sea Can looking like he liked the sloppy conditions as the name would suggest. A tough effort seeing the son of Muscle Mass home in sound sectionals, fighting off late challenge from Take All Comers to win by three-quarters in a length in 1:55.4. Watch the tight finish below.
CANADIAN REPLAY
Nicholas Barnsdale reported on a real feel-good story last week with Nicotime saluting for the first time since late 2022. The patience paid off at Century Downs on Friday. A tough final stretch called upon fighting qualities from those going for the victory but, at the end, Nicotime prevailed in 1:57.3.
NEW ZEALAND REPLAY
Bruce Stewart reported on one of the great warhorses of the past few years when Franco Huntington prevailed at Invercargill on Friday afternoon. The 12yr-old making the most of the sticky conditions, mounting a bid from well out from home to outstay race rivals on the poor track.
