SUMMERSIDE, PE – Island Beach Boy (Somebeachsomewhere) headlines the Tuesday evening feature during a splendid overnight harness racing program at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

The western oval has 13-dashes scheduled for a 6 P.M. start time.

The $3,500 featured pace hits the track in race 12 with Island Beach Boy the morning line favourite from post 5 for driver Brodie MacPhee, trainer Tom Weatherbie and owners Ian Smith and Arnold Hagen. The six-year-old Somebeachsomewhere pacer was narrowly defeated his last start at Red Shores Charlottetown after cutting out the fractions but having to settle for second in 1:55.1.

He will face many challenges in the field of eight including Rollwithhottytoddy (To be driven by Myles Heffernan Sr.) with post 6 for owner-trainer Trevor Hicken. The Rollwithitharry pacer was superb during the Winter Meet in Charlottetown with four wins in the month of January. He followed it up with a fourth-place finish in the Preferred Pace his first start of the Summer Meet, race timed in 1:53.3 in Charlottetown on May 18. Rollwithhottytoddy was scratched on May 25 in Charlottetown and will make his second start of the season on Tuesday.

Past Gold Cup and Saucer finalist Bettim Again (Adam Merner) has post 7 from the Jeff Lilley barn after a pair of qualifiers.

Spectrum Seelster (David Dowling) holds down the outside post 8 from the Jennifer Doyle stable after racing the Preferred level so far this season.

Howmac Maximus (Damian MacLellan) has rail control from the Tammy Collings barn, while Coasttocoastshark (Jaycob Sweet) has post 2 for trainer Jeff Wallace.

Sauble Attack (Ken Murphy) gets post 3 for trainer Paul Biggar and Melody Maker (Corey MacPherson) will leave from post 4 for Greg Macinnis.

The Backstretch Beat likes Rollwithhottytoddy to come back from his rest on a winning note.

“Rollwithhottytoddy performed very well in his May 18 debut but hasn’t seen the starting gate since that day. Trainer Hicken will no doubt have him in top form so we’re going to place them on top for the Tuesday evening feature.”
