The stage is set for one of harness racing’s biggest prizes, the $1 million North America Cup, after the post draw conducted on Tuesday (Jun. 11) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Elimination winners Captains Quarters, Funtime Bayama, and Nijinsky were drawn first for posts 2 through 6, followed by the rest of the field. Mark McKelvie, Woodbine’s Senior Manager of Communications, emceed the event with Racing Secretary Tony O’Sullivan conducting the draw.
The field is as follows:

The draw was originally scheduled for noon but was delayed to 5 p.m. to accommodate an appeal regarding a judge’s decision in one of the eliminations. The appeal was denied and the original ruling was upheld, leaving the field the same.
The North America Cup is set for Saturday at a scheduled time of 10:40 p.m. EDT. The card, beginning at 6:30 p.m., will also feature the Fan Hanover, Roses Are Red, Goodtimes, and Armbro Flight, all Grand Circuit events, for total stakes purses of more than $2.1 million.
