There were no serious injuries incurred by either harness racing horses or drivers following an accident in the third race on Hanover Raceway’s Saturday, June 15 card.
Panthermonium, with Jason Ryan up, suffered a broken front hopple hanger and fell. Hurricane Watch, with Paul MacKenzie at the reins, hooked the wheel of Pathermonium and MacKenzie was unseated from the bike.
Both drivers were able to continue on all of their remaining mounts during the card. In fact, Ryan won the eighth race aboard AceFortyFour Lady. Hanover Raceway general manager Scott Price reported that neither of the horses were hurt in the spill.
