Anderson, Ind.—June 25, 2024— After tasting defeat for the first time in 2024 in her last outing, Agent Of Fortune (Dover Dan-Posterity) avenged her loss with a harness racing victory in the lone $95,000 division of Indiana Sire Stakes for three-year-old trotting fillies at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. The feature of the 13-race Tuesday (June 25) card was round three of eight for the sophomore trotting fillies.
Leaving from post two in the field of eight, driver Robert Taylor floated Agent Of Fortune into the third position off of the gate while Black Gold (James Yoder) found the front to the first quarter in :28.3. Ill-content with the pocket spot, driver Trace Tetrick moved Somebody Special to the lead on the backstretch as the fillies trotted to the half in :57.4.
Entering the final turn, Taylor tugged the right line and hustled Agent Of Fortune first-over, surging into second on the outside of the leader at three-quarters in 1:27.1 while 1-5 favorite Skyway Paige (LeWayne Miller) gapped her cover. Agent Of Fortune powered to the lead turning for home, putting away Somebody Special and gaining a two-length advantage on Skyway Paige who was beginning to find her best stride in the lane. Agent Of Fortune proved game on the lead, trotting home in :28 to secure the victory by three-quarters of a length in 1:55.1 over a surging Skyway Paige and Hail Broadway (Jordan Ross), who rallied to round out the trifecta despite being last turning for home.
Sent off in the wagering at 9-2, Agent Of Fortune paid $11 to win.
