Reformed trotter One Over All took (Angus Hall) his stake earnings to more than $300,000 when he outstayed his harness racing rivals in the Wagon Apollo Trotters Free For All at Melton.Ā
Greg Sugars circumnavigated the field to find the lead with 1200 metres to travel but was joined shortly after by the $3.10Ā equal favorite Aldebaran Vera.Ā
One Over All ($3.10 fav) withstood the challenges in the home straight to score by two metres from Mercenary and Aldebaran Vera.Ā

Sugars conceded One Over All wasnāt the smoothest trotter in action.Ā
āWhen he really stretches out heās an ungainly sort of a trotter but very rarely does he make a break in the run or late in a race,ā Sugars said.Ā Ā
āFor all his quirks heās a lovely horse, heās a bit of a character around the stables- heās a bit different but heās done a super job,ā he said.Ā Ā
Formerly a bit of a rogue from the mobile, One Over All has mended his manners according to Sugars.Ā
āEarly days he was quite good from the mobile but for whatever reason one day he made a break and that was it, after that I couldnāt get him balanced up enough and get him away,ā he said.Ā Ā
āHe had a break and we kept working on his manners and thereās not a lot of standing start opportunities this time of the year, so he was going have to try and learn and thankfully heās worked it all out again.āĀ
The win took One Over Allās career record to 22 wins and 16 placings from 69 race starts.Ā
