Harness News Update: Picks and analysis for Georgian Downs July 2nd

Georgian Downs will host an eight-dash harness racing card on Tuesday (June 25) evening. A Pick 5 wager with a $1,500 guaranteed pool starts in the very first race and a $.20 minimum Pick 4 starts in the fourth.

A horse looking for his third straight win is The Vicar (Artspeak) in race two. The three-year-old gelding started his career racing out on the east coast at Truro Raceway and Summerside Raceway. He raced well, winning four of his first seven career starts. He was posting sub 2:00 miles on the half-mile surfaces and was finding different ways to win.

The Vicar didn’t slow down after making the move to Ontario. He won his first start at Georgian Downs in 1:54.4 and followed that up with a 1:53.1 victory at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Tyler Moore trains the gelding and also handles driving duties.
