A new harness racing date has been added at The Loop for July 6th at 1:00 p.m. local Central time. The new day comes after last Saturday was cancelled due to rain and unsafe track conditions. The 2024 season in Manitoba is off to a rocky start with the season continuing to be pushed back due to the high amounts of rain plaguing the area.
The Loop is trying to kick off the second season of racing since being completed and looking to be a long-term home for harness racing in the province. The half-mile track located just outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba is set to host 17 days of racing this year. An extra day of racing has already been added for Oct. 5.
Stake season in Manitoba kicks off on July 13 with the Lady Crocus Stakes.
