War Of Will (Captaintreacherous, Leon Bailey) captures the $7,500 featured harness racing pace at Vernon Downs on Saturday (July 6).
Le Massif (Steeven Genois) went to the front and led to the quarter in :28.2. He used a :29.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.3. He cruised to three-quarters in 1:25.0.
As they reached the stretch War Of Will ($7.70) made a three-wide move coming at Le Massif. War of Will surged right on by to win in 1:52.4. Le Massif had to settle for second money. Galactic Storm (Jimmy Whittemore) finished third.
War Of Will is 5-year-old gelding. He is owned by Robert Bradley and trained by Jeff Sorenson. It was his third win this season. He now has nine career victories.

Leon Bailey, Jimmy Whittemore, Josh Kinney, and Steeven Genois all hide driving doubles. Jeff Sorenson, Gary Gibson, and Joe Sansone all had training doubles.
Vernon Downs returns to live racing on Thursday (July 11) at 4 pm. No racing on Friday (July 12) because of the Night Ranger concert.
