SUMMERSIDE, PE – Middleton Terror (Stonebridge Terror) came from the backfield straight to victory in the Tuesday evening featured harness racing pace at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

Trained and driven by David Dowling, the five-year-old sat content in fourth at the opening quarter in the $3,500 top class. Newcomer Tony Too Tall (Driven by Myles Heffernan Sr.) was hustled to the lead and laid down fractions of 28.3, 57.3 and 1:25.4 in his P.E.I. debut. Middleton Terror was edged out first-over to track down that pacesetter in the stretch drive for a 1:54.4 score for owners Kingsley Walsh and Frank Balcom. Howmac Maximus (Damian MacLellan) was second while Tony Too Tall held on for third.

Dowling also clicked with All My Lovin in the race 1 opener as the son of Malicious became the first two-year-old winner of the year on P.E.I. Earl Watts trains the gelding as he stopped the clock in 2:01.4.

Dowling had the hot hands on the night as he also clicked with Stealing Bases (1:59) for trainer Ron Matheson and Check Your Source (1:59.3) from the Gordie Hennessey barn for the driving quadruple.

Total wager was $85,102 on the 13-dash card.

Live racing continues Thursday evening at 6 P.M. at Red Shores Charlottetown.
