Tioga Downs plays host to two harness racing divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old trotting fillies on Sunday (July 14).
Royal Mission (Chapter Seven – Swinging Royalty) and driver Matt Kakaley are the 5-2 morning line favorite in the $54,500 first Division.Ā The filly is trained by Marcus Melander.Ā She finished a close second in her only lifetime start in a leg of the NYSS at Yonkers.
Her toughest competition appears to be the Perry Simser trained Calculus Risk.Ā The filly by Devious Man/K Squared Hanover is one for one in her young career.Ā She scored a NYSS win at Yonkers.
The unbeaten Chapvious (Devious Man) with driver Jason Bartlett is the clear-cut favorite to win the $54,500 second division.Ā George Ducharme trains the filly who is two for two getting NYSS wins at Buffalo and Yonkers.
The 14-race card starts at 1:00 p.m.
