This colt is two for two for 20,025€ earned after this 1.17.2kr timed victory. Magnum du Choquel (2m Hohneck-Popinee de Timbia-Goetmals Wood) was a distant second reined by Francois Lagadeuc for trainer Nicolas Bridault at 18/1 odds. Third was 8.7/1 Magico de Lou (2m Un Mec d’Heripre) for pilot Matthieu Abrivard.
Note that the sire of the top two, Hohneck (7m Royal Dream-Caranca-Ready Cash), has won 2,433,145€ from 20 wins in 59 starts and a 1.09.1kr speed badge. Hohneck won the 2023 Elitloppet Final plus the Prix de Washington twice, the UET Elite Circuit Final, Ducs de Normandie and Criterium 5Ans Q1 among others.

The Prix de Alignancount (purse 46,000€, 2875 meters, 12 three-year-old starters) saw 2.8/1 Leader de Joudes (3m Express Jet-Namastee-Capriccio) score timed in 1.15.2kr with trainer Mathieu Mottier at the lines for owner Philippe Beauvisage. This was Leader’s third victory in five starts for 44,525€ earned. The Muscle Hill five-year-old son Derby Kronos took the Prix de la Haute Marne (purse 41,000€, 2875 meters, 12 European starters all five-year-olds) timed in 1.14.7kr. Off at 1.1/1 favorite odds the winner, from Variety Wise As, was reined by Gabriele Gelormini for trainer H.E. Bondo and owner Unio Perfect Srl. Derby won for the first time in two starts in France and raised his career earnings to 46,788€. He defeated 6.7/1 odds Demetrio (5m Nuncio-Winky’s Truffle) with Marcel Stafani driving the Mauro Baroncini trainee. Costello D.E. (5m Bold Eagle) was third in a pack at 13/1 with trainer Jules Van Den Putte Jr. aboard.
Finally, at Enghien was the Prix du Medoc (purse 75,000€, 2875 meters, 16 European starters ages 7-11) where the 3/1 odds Hannibal Tuilerie (7g Remember Jihem-Qkiwenga) scored timed in 1.13.1kr with Matthieu Abrivard driving. This Jacques Bruneau trainee now sports 13 career wins in 69 starts for 384,835€ earned for owner C.M Bruneau.
The 9/1 odds and recent Trophee Vert winner Hymne du Gers (7g Bold Eagle-Unanime Quality) was narrowly beaten racing on the lead with Tristan Ouvrie driving for trainer Jean Michel Bazire for Ecurie J.M. Rancoule. Third home was 108/1 odds Esteban Jiel (10g Coktail Jet) with Sebastien Baude at the lines.

At Sweden Skelleftea on July 24 the Stig Lindmarks Styrkeprov STL Gold (purse to winner 150,000SEK, 2640 meters autostart) saw 1.32/1 Charmant de Zack (6m Vivid Wise As-Martina Grif-Varenne) score handily timed in 1.12.9kr. Magnus A. Djuse reined the Alessandro Gocciadoro trainee for owner Comiantale Srl. Charmant recorded his 14th career victory in 50 starts for 730,708€ earned. On Saturday at Enghien the sometimes-impressive Jushua Tree emerges again from a layoff to battle in the Gr. II Prix Jean-Luc Jagadere for 150,000€ purse. He faces a strong field including Ampia Mede SM, Just A Gigolo, Inmarosa and Ganay de Banville among the 13-horse contest.
