Makadushin N Cheez (Conway Hall, Ridge Warren) was a gate-to-wire harness racing winner in the $14,000 Open Handicap Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (July 27).
Makadushin N Cheez ($3.70) was first to the quarter in :28.0. He slowed things way down with a :30.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.1. Makadushin N Cheez started to get separation heading down the backstretch and was first to three-quarters in 1:26.0.
As they made the turn for home Makadushin N Cheez found another gear and just cruised home to win easily in 1:54.4. May Baby (Jim Taggert Jr.) was second best. Sevenshotsobourbon (Tom Merton) finished third.
Makadushin N Cheez is a 5-year-old gelding. David Dewhurst trains the winner for his own interests along with Joe and Molly D’Agostino and Phil Kadushin. Makadushin N Cheez got his fourth win this season. He now has 30 career victories.
