This Tiger is tough!

Promising three-year-old Tufftiger (Tiger Tara) is proving a good harness racing advertisement for the Bettor’s Delight double millionaire Tiger Tara this year.

The gelding completed back-to-back successes at Gawler highlighted by a career-best 1:57.3 effort on Monday (July 29) after coming from near last.

Tiger Tara has sired 12 winners from 21 starters to date.

Tiger Tara, the Inter Dominion champion and Horse of the Year, is standing this season at Darren Reay’s Medowie Lodge stud near Newcastle.

Not to be outdone, Tiger Tara’s studmate Follow The Stars left nine individual winners in five different States in the last fortnight.

Heading up his list of winners have been Torrevean Pinky (Gloucester Park), Rip Jackson (Penrith), Beejay’s Star (Mildura) and the WA provincial winners Ineedadrink, Local Resident, Follow The Milkyway and Fiord.

A former NZ and Australian 2YO Colt of the Year, Follow The Stars has left the winners of $5.6 million at an average of nearly $30,000 per starter. He has sired 145 individual winners including 41 to date this season.
