BERLIN, Md. — I’m The Prince (Luck Be Withyou-Move On B B) rolled to his second consecutive win in Tuesday’s (July 30) featured harness racing event at Ocean Downs, an $8,500 top-level conditioned pace.
After sitting the pocket behind Major Key through a :27 first split, Jonathan Ahle quarter-moved 2-5 favorite I’m The Prince to the front on the second turn.
From there, the 5-year-old gelding coasted clear of his seven rivals, throwing down a :27.3 third quarter to build up a five-length lead turning for home and evading a late rally from Cruise Patrol by 2-1/2 lengths to win in 1:53.3. Major Key held third.
Eli Scott trains nine-time winner I’m The Prince, who paid $2.80 to win, for owners Donald and John Hawk.
William Carter led all drivers with three wins on the 11-race card; Ahle and Trae Porter both fashioned doubles.
Live racing returns to Ocean Downs on Wednesday (July 31); first post is 7:05 p.m.
