The 4-5 favorite Silk Cloud A (Shadow Play, Jordan Stratton) won the $39,000 Fillies and Mares Invitational harness racing pace at Yonkers Raceway on Friday evening (Aug. 2).
Coachellabound N (Jason Bartlett) left the gate first from the center of the racetrack, followed by plenty of company on the outside. As they drove for the quarter pole in :27.4, Coachellabound N led the way by a length over Pure Silky (George Brennan). A length and a half back, Idealinfun (Joe Bongiorno) was pacing in third.
Coachellabound N was still the one to catch as they came to the half mile in :56.4. Pure Silky was right there in second. As they made their way down the backstretch, Coachellabound N led the way by a length and a half over Pure Silky. As they passed the three-quarter mile in 1:24.1, Silk Cloud A stole third from Idealinfun from the outside.
From the outside, Silk Cloud A snuck in front to cross the wire first by one length in 1:52. Coachellabound N came in second and Pure Silky finished in third.

Silk Cloud A is a 6-year-old mare trained by Peter Tritton for owners Eric Good, Rich Lombardo Racing LLC, and David Kryway. She paid $3.90 to win.
