Happy Jack B snags $106,300 NYSS dash

Happy Jack B (Chapter Seven-Exotic, Tyler Buter) wins the $106,300 leg of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old harness racing trotting colts & geldings at Tioga Downs on Sunday (Aug. 4).

Happy Jack B ($2.40) went straight to the front and led to the quarter in :28.1.   He used a :29.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.2.  Gangsta Talk (Ake Svanstedt) made a first-over move going down the backstretch.  Happy Jack B was first to three-quarters in 1:25.4.

As they made the turn for home Happy Jack B found another burst and won easily in 1:54.2.  Variegated (Braxten Boyd) finished second but was racing for purse only.  For the parimutuel betters Gangsta Talk finished second and Moonshot S (Marcus Miller) was third.

Happy Jack B is a colt owned by Nasstrom Holding Inc., Wolfgang A Stable Inc., Joe Sbrocco & JAF Racing while trained by Ake Svanstedt.  It is his first career victory in four lifetime starts.
