Harness News Update: Picks & Analysis for Century Downs Aug. 16th

A 11-dash card full of harness racing action is set for Friday (Aug. 16) at Century Downs. The notable wagers are the Pick 5, which kicks off the card in race one and the $1 minimum Pick 4 which starts in the eighth.

Stash The Cookies (Sunfire Blue Chip) draws back into the Fillies & Mares Preferred after taking a couple of weeks off. The eight-year-old mare qualified at Track On 2 last weekend in 1:55.2. She was pacing considerable faster previous at Century Downs as her fastest time of the year is 1:54.1. Stash The Cookies has been one of the toughest mares to beat in the Preferred with her three wins in five starts. She also has a second place finish but does have the one blemish that is a fourth place. John Chappell trains the mare while Brandon Campbell will be in the bike.
