May Baby best at Tioga

May Baby (Guccio, Braxten Boyd) captured the harness racing $15,000 Open Handicap Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (August 17).

May Baby ($6.10) went straight to the front and led to the quarter in :27.1. She used a :28.4 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.0. Makadushin N Cheez (Ridge Warren) came first-up going down the backstretch and challenged for the lead. May Baby was first to three-quarters in 1:24.4.

As they reached the stretch May Baby let out another notch and won easily in 1:54.1. Makadushin N Cheez had to settle for second. Kinnder Thinktwice (Jim Taggert Jr.) finished third.

May Baby is a 7-year-old mare. He is owned by Cheyenne Yoder and trained by Brandy Wine. It was her eighth win in 2024. She now owns 32 career victories.
