Alittlesidehustl N gets it done again

Alittlesidehustl N (He’s Watching) has been a regular harness racing participant in the Fillies and Mares Open this season both at Plainridge Park and her home track of Saratoga Casino Hotel.

The six year old Jackie Greene-trained mare had nine second-place finishes and a trio of thirds to her credit in her first seventeen starts of 2024 but the New Zealand import was winless on the season heading into her try in the Saratoga Open on August 16th. In that start, driver Billy Dobson flashed speed with Alittlesidehustl N who had been a runner-up in four consecutive races. The talented mare went coast-to-coast in that start to prevail for the first time in ’24.

On Friday evening, Alittlesidehustl N was assigned post position six in the six-horse ladies’ feature at the Spa. This week, Dobson was forced to take back but with first half fractions of 27.1 and 56.1 being set by the race’s favorite Arizona (Brett Beckwith), Alittlesidehustl N sat back patiently before being unleashed around the final turn.

The razor sharp mare charged hard around the final turn before coming on to win by a neck to repeat in 1:53.2. Invader Milieu Hanover (Wally Hennessey) grinded out a first-over trip to finish second while the favored Arizona had to settle for third.
