Jagerso hosts €42,547 Breeders Course

Jagersro hosted two Breeders Course events this Derby Day in Sweden. The total purse in both events was 42,547€ (21,500€ to each winner) with the distance 2140 meters autostart in the female and male tests.

In the Breeders Course Females, four years old, the 2.8/1 odds Esperia Font (4f Face Time Bourbon-Elenor Boko-Chocolatier) scored from post seven timed in 1.12.7kr with Magnus A. Djuse driving for trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro and owner Leonardo Cecchi, her eighth career win in 23 starts (four for eight in ’24).

Nikki Lane (4f Maharajah-Swish Lane-Ready Cash) was second at 54.4/1 odds with trainer Roger Malmqvist aboard/ Prestera International AB owns this one. Home third was 9.3/1 Konstantia Sisu (4f Maharajah-Cinco de Mayo-Muscle Hill) with Erik Adielsson driving for trainer Jan Kristian Overdal.

In the male division the 2.22/1 odds favorite Enea Font (4m Face Time Bourbon-Rapsodia Gams-Donato Hanover) dominated his rivals scoring in 1.11.5kr with Robin Bakker aboard. Paul Hagoort trains Enea Font for Gerrits Trading Gmbh. This was the winner’s seventh career victory in 14 starts (six for 11 this year) as captured the 21,500€ first place check.

Poker Lane (4m SJs Caviar-Margo Hill-Like A Prayer) finished second at 9.8/1 odds for driver Stefan Persson and the Roger Malmqvist/Prestera International AB team. Competivo (4g Bird Parker-Sherry-Credit Winner) took third at 9/1 for trainer/driver Daniel Wajersten and SRF Stable.

Fast class older foes battled in the Birger Bengtssons STL Gold (12,900€ purse to winner, 1640 meters autostart) with victory to 1.58/1 odds Staro Mack Crowe (5m Bold Eagle-Giant Crowe-Gigant Neo). Magnus A. Djuse piloted the winner for conditioner Mattias Djuse, Staro Mack Crowe’s seventh career victory in 36 starts and second win in ’24. Race time was a swift 1.09.9kr.

Dancer Brodde (5m Bold Eagle-Dancing In The Hall-Cantab Hall) was second at 4.3/1 with Johan Untersteiner the driver/trainer. Queen Belina (5f Nuncio-First Love Boko-Muscle Yankee) was third at 42.7/1 with Mats E. Djuse driving for trainer Jorgen Westholm. The 9.6/1 Hades de Vandel (7m Ganymede-Silene de Vandel-Love You) was a closing fourth for Robin Bakker and Paul J.P. Hagoort.
