Grove City, Ohio – News is spreading fast about the dominant harness racing performance from The Word Is Out (Well Said) in the Ohio Sires Stakes action for two-year-old filly pacers on Sunday night (Sep. 1) at MGM Northfield Park.
The Word Is Out defeated the perfect Odds On Hieleah with lengths to spare in the sole $100,000 division.
Directly out of the gate, driver Chris Page urged The Word Is Out to challenge for the front. The daughter of Well Said found herself two-wide the entirety of the :28. opening quarter.
The brisk quarter only energized The Word Is Out. Once in control of the field, she set remaining fractions in :57.1 and 1:26. Despite heavy pressure from challengers, The Word Is Out dug deep, winning by two lengths in 1:53.4.
Odds On Hieleah (Brett Miller) finished second while Skywalker Sea (Justin Irvine) was third.
THE WORD IS OUT REPLAY
The Word Is Out has scored five wins under Ron Burke’s conditioning. The victory marks the third stakes win in four legs for the filly. The Word Is Out has amassed $229,750 in six lifetime starts for Burke Racing Stable, Knox Services Inc, Beasty LLC, and R A S Racing.
