The 6/10 odds harness racing favorite Idao de Tillard captured today’s Gr. II International Grand Prix Federation Regionale du Nord at La Capelle.
The total purse was 120,000€ and 12 horses contested the 1800 meters autostart contest. The winner gained the front from early leader Hussard du Landret and gamely held the lead throughout timed in 1.12.3kr for his 31st career victory in 43 starts for 2,285,660€ earned.
Clement Duvaldestin reined the champ for owner Cyril Sevestre and trainer Theirry Duvaldestin. Three others finished in a pack with second to Duvaldestin trainee 10/1 Ampia Mede SM (8f Ganymede-Polimpia Slide SM) reined by Benjamin Rochard for Scuderia Se Fin in her best effort since moving to the TD barn.
Emeraude de Bais (10f Repeat Love-Haute Tension) was third at 9/1 odds with Franck Nivard piloting the Benjamin Goetz trainee for Herve Carlus. Ganay de Banville (8m Jasmin de Flore– Anais de Banville-Quaker Jet) was a game fourth at 16/1 odds with trainer Jean Michel Bazire driving for Valliere Racing.
The boxed in throughout Hohneck (7m Royal Dream-Caranca-Ready Cash) escaped late and finished fifth with Gabriele Gelormini up for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. Hohneck posts career earnings of 2,463,145€.
