No newcomers joined the Top 10 in the Week 14 Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released Tuesday, but there was shuffling of harness racing positions behind No. 1 Twin B Joe Fresh and No. 2 Jiggy Jog S.
Nijinsky, who was idle, swapped positions No. 3 and No. 4 in the poll following Karlās second-place finish by a neck to Dame Good Time in the Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship Series final for 3-year-old male trotters. Legendary Hanover, who also was idle, remained fifth.
Highland Kismet, who won his Canadian Trotting Classic elimination last week, moved from seventh to sixth. He was followed by Chantilly, who won her Sheās A Great Lady elimination and jumped from ninth to seventh.
Its A Love Thing, who was fourth in the Kentucky Sire Stakes championship for 3-year-old female pacers, dropped from sixth to eighth.
The shuffling pushed idle Warrawee Michelle down a notch to ninth. Captain Albano, also idle, remained unchanged at No. 10.
Nijinsky, Legendary Hanover, and Captain Albano compete Thursday in the Little Brown Jug.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which will be released every Tuesday through the remainder of the Grand Circuit season, does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
