The annual Stable of Memories “Round Barn” fundraiser will be held Sunday night, Sept. 29, from 6-9 p.m. at the historic Lexington landmark adjacent to the Red Mile. The event is being held the night before the opening of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale at Fasig-Tipton.
This year’s Stable of Memories event will feature the official debut of the Brittany Farms Collection of harness racing trophies, which Brittany owner George Segal has donated to the Stable of Memories. Brittany is selling its last crop of yearlings at this year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
The evening will also include a silent auction of framed harness racing/horse artwork from various collections and a live performance by local artist John Lovern, and dinner and bar service, provided Bayou Bluegrass Catering.
All proceeds from the evening benefit the preservation of the “Round Barn,” and its designation as the Stable of Memories Inc., which is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. All funds raised and donated are used to maintain the historic building and its collections and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
