CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Pouncing to the lead at the start, Time To Dance (A Rocknroll Dance) paced to his first win of the harness racing season in the Saturday evening featured pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Marc Campbell was at the lines in the $4,100 feature as Time To Dance strutted through splits of 28.1, 57.2, 1:26.1 and 1:54.4 to win over Tradition (Driven by Gordie Hennessey) and First Glance (David Dowling). Brent Campbell co-owns and trains Time To Dance with co-owners Brady Doyle and Kent MacDonald. The former Gold Cup and Saucer winner notched his first win of 2024 and his 52nd lifetime triumph.

Driver Marc Campbell and trainer Brent Campbell also won with Pauls Crown (1:55) in race 8.
David Dowling had the hot hands on the evening with a trio of winners. The reinsman started the action winning with newcomer TH Boomtown (1:57) in race 2 for trainer Ron Matheson, followed by Check Your Source (1:58.4) in race 3 from the Gordie Hennessey Stable then Bacononabiscuit (1:54.3) in race 7 for trainer Jennifer Doyle.
Doyle had two winners from her Earnscliffe barn as Luckiesmanalive (1:54) won race 5 in line to Damian MacLellan.
Driver Colin Sheppard teamed up with trainer Morgan Sheppard for a pair of victories with Doc Darryl (1:57) in race 1 and Shakemeup Hanover (1:58) in race 4.
The Saturday program also had a pair of non-wagering P.E.I. Matinee Racing Championship Finals. Painted Pony and driver Billy White won his final in 2:03.2 while the second final went to Freedom Delight in 1:58.2 in line to Zac Noye.
