HARRINGTON, DE – Forrest Bartlett’s Primo Maschio (Badlands Hanover) ($2.10, Trae Porter) improved to 8-for-8 in his young harness racing career with a 1:54.1 win in the $110,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders (DSBF) Final for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings Monday at Harrington Raceway.
Ā The Badlands Hanover gelding went right to the front from post six and never looked back in his wire-to-wire triumph over Shore Not Beach and Lew Not Lou. Trained by Kevin Lare, Primo Maschio has banked nearly $110,000 lifetime.

Ā On the undercard, Andrew Glassmeyer’sĀ Sweet Angel Boy ($5, Tony Morgan) was a 1:51.4 winner in the $50,000 Bobby Quillen Memorial. Trained by his owner, the 6-year-old Sweet Lou gelding emerged from the pocket a winner over Mack and Ats Hanover. Sweet Angel Boy also won the $50,000 Governor’s Cup earlier in the year at Harrington.
Quillen was a popular local legislator who loved harness racing and was on the Board of Directors at Harrington Raceway and the Delaware State Fair, who passed away in 2004.
Art Stafford Jr. had 4 wins on the card. Allan Davis, Montrell Teague and Bart Dalious each had a driving double.
The 2-year-old pacing fillies will compete in a $110,000 DSBF Final in addition to the $50,000 Kathleen Cain Pace to headline the Tuesday (October 8) pace. On Wednesday (October 9), a pair of DSBF finals will be contested for 2-year-old trotters, while the $50,000 Allen Cook Memorial awaits on the undercard for older trotters.
Ā Live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule (post time 4:30 p.m.) until October 23.
