Buddyville (Huntsville) earned a new career mark as he came from the clouds to win his fifth straight harness racing contest in the BC-bred Stake Final at Fraser Downs on Thursday (Oct. 10).

Away sixth of eight in a :27.3 opening panel, Scott Knight pulled Buddyville off the pylons approaching the half in :55.4 and caught double cover. He advanced third-over through the third station in 1:24, swinging three-wide behind his cover on the final turn. Fifth at the top of the lane, Buddyville roared past his opponents to snag a three-quarter-length victory in 1:53.3. Nothing Bugs Me (Serge Masse) finished second, out-kicking Phone Nine One One (Phil Giesbrecht), who came third.

BUDDYVILLE REPLAY

Buddyville, a four-year-old, has won 12 of 30 career appearances for trainer Rod Therres. The gelding, owned by Veikko Pajunen, has earned $54,215 lifetime. He is eight-for-14 this season.

Catchmegracefully (Chucaro Acero Bc) lowered her lifetime best as she drew away to take the BC-bred Stake Final for fillies and mares. The sophomore, trained and driven by Glenn White, wired her rivals in 1:54.4 and proved three-and-a-quarter lengths the best over Senorita Draco (Giesbrecht). Vintage Lass (Kelly Hoerdt) was third.

CATCHMEGRACEFULLY REPLAY

Catchmegracefully has now won seven times this season and placed six times in 15 starts. White owns the filly, who has accrued a lifetime bankroll of $44,290.

Arrhythmic Dream (Hes Watching) prevailed in the four-horse Fillies and Mares Preferred. She shifted out of the pocket as the field straightened for home and out-muscled pacesetter Grey Sea (John Abbott) for a three-quarter-length victory in 1:54.1. Goodbye Ceia Later (Masse) joined them late and nabbed Grey Sea for second.

ARRHYTHMIC DREAM REPLAY

The win was the first for Arrhythmic Dream since moving to British Columbia and the Jim Marino barn. The four-year-old mare, previously based in the northeastern United States, has earned $113,165 and won nine career races in 45 starts. JJJ Stables shares ownership with Marino.

Racing will continue at Fraser Downs on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m. PDT.
