The UET Elite Circuit Finale (purse 500,000€, Gr. I International, 2100 meters autostart, 13 starters ages 4-11) at Vincennes saw Go On Boy (8m Password-Balginette-Hasting-Buvetier d’Aunou) rally past leading Francesco Zet and jet away from harness racing rivals for a three length victory timed in 1.09.2kr.
Romain Derieux trains and drove the winner for Ecurie Nixxon as he won for the 14th time in 47 starts for 1,630.870€. He was off at 3.5/1 odds and bested 19/1 Ganay de Banville (8m Jasmin de Flore) trained and reined by Jean Michel Bazire for Ecurie Valliere Racing.
The JMB trained 37/1 Hooker Berry (7m Booster Winner) was third for Nicolas Bazire driving for Michel Aldenise. The 1.1/1 favorite Idao de Tillard (6m Severino) was fourth for Clement Duvaldestin, Thierry Duvaldestin (trainer) and owner Cyril Sevestre. Borups Victory (6m Googoo Gaagaa) was fifth at 11/1 with trainer Daniel Wajersten aboard.
Ampia Mede SM at 15/1 and Banderas Bi at 37/1 completed the top seven.
All seven raced shoeless except Idao that had plates in front. Francesco Zet was unplaced after setting a blistering pace and Vivid Wise As also finished unplaced after a trip along the pegs. The winning first dam Balginette also produced Gr. I winner Josh Power this year.
She contains American blood as her sire was by Royal Prestige and he dam was by the Armbro Goal son Cezio Josselyn. All this during the brief period in which the FR stud book was opened.
The undercard started early. The Prix Hera (purse 68,000€, 2850 meters distance handicap, 13 starters ages 7-11) went to 6.3/1 odds Have Seven (7g Prince d’Espace-Vadapolina) with Nicolas Bazire driving the JMB trainee for owner Yannick Desmet. JMP bred this one that now sports 12 wins in 55 outings for 343,020€. The 10/1 Gipsy de Chamant (8f Quaro) was next with trainer P-Y Verva up for owner Paul Daniel Peillot. Third was 7/10 favorite Headscott (7g Village Mystic) reined by Yoann Lebourgeois for conditioner Alain Chavatte. The 8.7/1 odds Harry Carisaie (7g Viking de Val) and 20/1 Hubble du Vivier (7g Vulcain du Vivier) completed the top five. The latter was bred and owned by the late legendary Jean Yves Lucuyer that produced many champions at his Normandy farm.
