If Only Id Known (Shadow Play) rallied past harness racing horses in the stretch to prevail in the Fillies and Mares Preferred at Century Mile on Friday (Oct. 11) as the fifth choice at 6-1.
Phil Giesbrecht slotted the mare in second, which quickly became the four-hole as Stash The Cookies (Dave Kelly) charged to the front over Outlaw Sharktastic (Nathan Sobey). Stash The Cookies stayed parked at the rail through :27.1 and :55.3 first-half panels.
She left the pylons on the final turn, flushing out the cover of Metaki (Brandon Campbell) before three-quarters in 1:25.3, but her foes remained strong into mid-stretch. The mare began to pick up ground at the eighth pole, and she flew to the lead in the final strides to win by a neck in 1:54.
Metaki finished second, passing pacesetter Stash The Cookies (Dave Kelly) in late-stretch.
