The 7th race for Quebec-owned older horses saw Rose Run Why Not (Pascal Berube) leave from the rail and cut the mile with Lorenzo (Francis Picard) getting the two-hole trip as they went to the opening quarter mile in :29.

Only For Justice (Stephane Brosseau) was on the move first-over with mild race favorite Kenogami Coco and driver Robert Shepherd second-over. They went by the half mile in :59.1.

In the backstretch, Shepherd swung Kenogami Coco three-wide at the three-quarters in 1:28.2. They were able to clear by Only For Justice by the top of the stretch.

Kenogami Coco proved to be the strong horse in the stretch, collaring Rose Run Why Not en route to a one and one-half length triumph in 2:00. Rose Run Why Not held for second with Prince Of Sussex (Sylvain Fontaine) third.
