Bangor, Maine …. Perhaps channeling the LA Dodgers’, Freddie Freeman, who slugged one out to clear the bases in World Series action on Friday night, Aaron Hall went yard at historic Bass Park on Saturday (October 26), plating four of his own at Bangor Raceway to lead all drivers in winners circle appearances.
Hall’s four-win day began with a strategic first-over grind behind the Benson Merrill trained, Commonsiscourtesy (Sagebrush, 1:58-$19.00) who nabbed his 10th win of the season for owners John and Thelma Keirman and Thomas Bemont. The one length margin over front-running, Drinka Beer (Andy Harrington) was the second consecutive score for the ten-year-old son of Sagebrush and was one of two on the program for trainer, Merrill.

Hall later rode the styrofoam with Polyester (Dude’s The Man, 1:59.3-$7.60), just sneaking through at the wire to post the 1/4-length margin over the pace-setting Threetimessix (Kevin Switzer, Jr) the win was the eighth of the season for the mare who is owned and trained by Jamie Gerard.
Hall concluded his day with a pair of consecutive gate-to-wire scores for family connections, chugging down the highway with Mr Blissfull (Blissfull Hall, 1:58.4-$22.40) who is owned and trained by his father, Craig Hall, and then engineering the 10th seasonal win for Jax Spratt (Devious Man, 2:01.3-$2.40), a Devious Man trotter which he trains himself for owner William Phipps.
With Saturday’s bounty harvested, Hall elevates himself into third place on the Bangor Raceway leaderboard with 41 local wins this season, trailing only Heath Campbell who resides in second place with 47 scores and Drew Campbell who maintains top-dog status with 57 top tallies.
Bangor Raceway roars back into action on Sunday (October 27) with post time slated at 11:00 a.m. (EDT). The meet will then conclude with Wednesday afternoon performances on October 30 and November 6 with post time scheduled at 3:00 p.m.
