WASHINGTON, PA, Oct. 31, 2024 — Pick Pocket (Walner) engaged the leader, Distant Drums, at the top of the lane, only to see that rival jump it off. With no other horses in striking position, Pick Pocket won as he pleased in Thursday’s harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $13,000 Conditioned Trot.
Anthony MacDonald moved Pick Pocket from third near the three-quarters. When the anticipated stretch duel never materialized, the 3-year-old son of Walner-Can’t Have My Moni jogged home in 1:54.4, 1-3/4 lengths better than Lite The Candles, with Big Baller Beane third at 59-1.
