WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 6, 2024  — Parked the opening panel in 27.1, Trick Of The Light (Odds On Equuleus) nevertheless had enough in the tank to capture Wednesday’s harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,800 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Trick Of The Light and driver Dave Palone

Sent off the 1-5 favorite, Trick Of The Light faced only one serious challenge, the first-over bid of Im Offngone N. But Trick Of The Light shrugged that off and went on to prevail for Dave Palone in 1:52.1. Better Double Flip was a ground-saving second, beaten 1/2 length, while Im Offngone N persevered for show.

TRICK OF THE LIGHT REPLAY

Virgil Morgan, Jr. trains the winner, a 5-year-old daughter of Odds On Equuleus-Gordjus who lifted her lifetime earnings to $610,773, for Odds On Racing.

Palone collected three wins on the 13-race program, giving him 20,998 career victories.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday when the 13-race program kicks off at 12:45 PM.
