WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 8, 2024 — Buried in fourth with no apparent way out as the field turned for home, Shanghai James (Shanghai Phil) found the Lightning Lane and poured through to take Friday’s feature — his second straight harness racing victory — at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,000 Claiming Handicap Pace.
As the field fanned out to attack the leader, Shanghai James and Brady Brown found an unexpected path to the Lightning Lane. They seized the opportunity and prevailed in 1:53, 3/4 lengths better than 68-1 long shot Olliestrikesfame. In Rock We Trust completed the ticket.
