Harness racing driver Dave Hudon handled a trio of winners on the Friday (Nov. 29) card at Fraser Downs, highlighted by the photo-finish victory in the Preferred Pace.
In that featured event, Itll Be Fine (Hes Watching) revved up from post six and was first to the engine, leading through a :26.2 first quarter. Sunshine Boy (Scott Knight) popped the pocket to take over passing the grandstand, and that gelding provided the middle panels of :57 and 1:25.
Itll Be Fine fired up the passing lane as it came open, chiseling down the advantage of Sunshine Boy, and he eclipsed his rival under the wire to prevail by a nose in 1:53.
Sunshine Boy was a hard-fought second, followed by Rum N Raisins (John Abbott). The winner paid $19.20.
ITLL BE FINE REPLAY
Itll Be Fine has won three of his past five outings, all at the Preferred level of Fraser Downs. The Richard Lancaster-conditioned gelding has amassed career totals of 24 victories and $229,588 in earnings from 94 outings. Lancaster shares ownership of the five-year-old with Leslie Godlien.
Hudon also visited the winnerās circle with Boothill Hudy (Vintage Master, 1:59.4), who circled the field in the last eighth of a mile, and Keepsgettingbettor (Bettors Delight, 1:55.2).
The next card at Fraser Downs is set for Thursday, Dec. 5.
