Itll Be Fine (Hes Watching) pocket-rode to victory amid a hot pace in the Friday Preferred at Fraser Downs for a second straight win in the track’s top harness racing class.
The gelding vied for the lead briefly for Dave Hudon but turned over control to Sunshine Boy (Scott Knight) before the quarter in :26. The latter maintained solid speed to the half in :54.4 and through three-quarters in 1:23 with Rum N Raisins (John Abbott) marching first-over at the third station.
At the top of the stretch, Itll Be Fine entered the passing lane, and Rum N Raisins continued to gain on the outside, setting up a three-across battle for the win. The closing pair marched home best, overwhelming Sunshine Boy in the final meters, and Itll Be Fine pulled a half-length clear to claim the victory in 1:52.
Rum N Raisins was second over a game Sunshine Boy.
