CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The Ashley Gamester harness racing stable was on fire Sunday afternoon including a Preferred Pace victory with Bee Two Bee (Sunshine Beach) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Circling from the backfield, Bee Two Bee closed hard in the stretch to collar pacesetter No Plan Intended (Driven by David Dowling) in the $4,200 Preferred Pace in 1:54.1. Blood Money (Gilles Barrieau) sat second and finished third in the top class. Jason Hughes drove the Gamester trainee for owners Donald MacRae and Blair MacLauchlan. Bee Two Bee was fourth choice on the tote board paying on top of a $551.50 triactor ticket.

Hughes and Gamester also tag teamed earlier on the card winning with Laughagain Hanover (1:58.3) at 4-5 odds in race 1 and Mac Anover (1:57) in race 9 at 4-1 odds.
Marc Campbell had a driving quadruple started off by Battle Of York (1:58.4) ay 2-1 odds in race 6 for owner-trainer Taylor Doyle, Jewels Dragon (1:55.1) at 1-2 odds in race 7 for trainer Landon Campbell, race 10 with Elroy Shiner (1:56) at 4-5 odds from the Jeff Holmes barn and race 12 aboard Braxtons Boy (1:56.2) at 1-9 odds for Rick Armstrong.
There are just three cards of live racing left in 2024 as the season continues Saturday Dec. 21 at 12:30 P.M., at Red Shores Charlottetown, followed by special holiday programs on Boxing Day (Thursday Dec. 26) and New Year’s Eve (Tuesday Dec. 31). Racing ends for the Winter Meet on Jan. 25, 2025.
