Go Or Not goes best at Vincennes

Monday’s trots of note were at Paris-Vincennes and Bologna Arcoveggio. The monte Prix Christelle Zimmer/The Challenge Marolles-en-Brie Paris Turf (purse 70,000€, 2700 meters, 12 starters ages 7-11 for apprentice lads/jockeys) saw even-money favorite Go Or Not (9g Hyperis-Qualie Picarde) score handily timed in 1.13.3kr.

Tamara Mathias-Maisonnette was the winning jockey for trainer/owner Alexandre Bonnefoy as Go Or Not recorded his 19th career victory in 68 starts for 386,315€ earned.

Finishing second was 5/1 Hannah (8f Vulcain de Vandel) with Benjamin Chauve-Laffay aboard for Julien Raffestin with third going to 16/1 odds Falcon d’Espace (10g Uriel Speed) with Estelle Croisic in the irons for trainer Clement Thomain. Fourth was 12/1 Here I Go Again (8g Ludo de Cstelle) with Mathis Champenois aboard.

In Italy at Bolgna Arcoveggio’s 804 meter oval was the Gran Premio Vittoria Isibetpr (purse 35,200€, 2640 meters voltstart) where 16/1 odds Corallo Pisano (7m Louvre-La Titti Bi) scored timed in 1.15.4kr. Matteo Legnani engineered a winning pocket to passing lane journey for this 10 time career winner for 82,224€.

Elton Wise (5m Maharajah) was second at 7.8/1 odds driven by Andrea Farolfi with 5.6/1 Dilvea MO (6m Lorenz del Ronco) third handled by Marcello Di Nicola and 10.1/1 odds  Ziguli dei Greppy (10f Uronometro) home fourth  for Francesco Facci.

Jan 12

  • Prix de Belgique (Amerique Q6, Gr. II International, purse 120,000€, 2850 meters for ages 4-11)
  • Prix  Djerid (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, ages 6-11)
  • Prix de Riberac (Gr. III, purse  80,000€, 2700 meters for  four year olds)
